I definitely agree to a certain extent. There are probably more characters I dislike (for example, I'm one of those who'd have been happier if we'd never had Adam), but I can't imagine watching seven seasons of a show and not even liking the regulars! I just boggle at people who say they're fans of the show but hate Buffy (or Willow, or whoever, but mainly Buffy 'cause, um, check the title of the show?) I can skip over the Adam episodes and not feel like I'm missing much - but to watch a show where you actively dislike someone who plays a major role in every single episode? That seems like an exercise in self-torture to me.
