bad acronym

For a number of years now, everyone at my work has had to write a yearly PPDP - or "Personal Professional Development Plan".

...finally, someone decided that this was a stupid title.

So they renamed it. This year, we have to write a "Personal Management System".

(And no-one noticed the acronym. No-one.)

I keep getting emails from my boss asking how my PMS is going. It's starting to weird me out...

Perhaps you should respond to the emails with, "Well, the cramps aren't too bad yet, but I've got an insane craving for potato chips and I think I spotted a zit. Also, WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM?? WHY ARE YOU STARING AT ME LIKE THAT?"

That might give them a clue...

That made me laugh!

One wonders why they don't actually say these things or try out the acronyms. It's like the new drug that's being advertised on TV, called Acephix -- every single actor who says it on the ad sounds like they are saying "Ass Effects" -- did NO ONE pronounce this out loud during R&D?

I really wonder sometimes, lol. Forget R&D - how did that get past marketing?? It's their job to make sure stuff like that doesn't happen.
