The local council has "Seasons Greetings!" posters up everywhere.
Since when does November 6th count as part of the Christmas season?

Guess they're thinking of Thanksgiving.
It reminds me of the old precession of the seasons problem that predated the current calendar system. One day, if nothing is done, Christmas season will begin in January...before coming back around to Christmas again. Maybe in a decade or two.

It's just ridiculous, isn't it?
And pretty much, as soon as the new year starts, they put up Easter decorations.
