Canberra is suddenly fascinating me.

You know, I was going to get up and post some interesting musings about my taste in music and how it gets harder to define the older I get because I start liking more and more different things...

WHO CARES. LOOK AT THE GOVERNMENT.

I am currently flipping frantically between different news websites, just watching...

I like the way your mind goes all jumpy.

:D

To put it in perspective: this is basically like you waking up tomorrow morning to discover that suddenly Hilary Clinton is President...

Hi,

given some of the interviews given by Laura Bush, you can't help but wonder whether the US elected the wrong people to be President...

Scratch that. The intelligent, forward-thinking people had to sit quietly and be good little women didn't they?

Silly me. I forgot that's how things work.

You know, sometimes Canberra IS a fascinating place to live :) Do you know what else is excellent (that I discovered recently by watching it live)..? Question time!! Nothing else like it! :D

And Julia Gillard has WON!! Wow!

Can't look away.

Should be working.

MUST LOOK AT NEWS SOME MORE.

O.O

I saw a brief mention that there was a fight to the death between your PM and his deputy - and I see she won. That's about all we got - but I can guess it must have been quite fascinating.

It came out of nowhere - that's what makes it so insanely interesting. One day we have one PM, the next day we have a completely different one... and 24 hours ago, no-one knew it was going to happen.

*is still shell-shocked*

Even from here it's intriguing. What's she like, though? Thatcher did terrible damage to women in her time in power.

Well,

the Irish, Scots & English have had a couple of centuries of trying to turn Australia into a decent civilised country.

It's about time the Welsh had a go :-)
