Hmm - but if they had to pronounce it as it is spelled they'd all have to rhyme it with say.
Except that if I try saying 'say' with an Australian accent it rhymes with sigh...
I know a family with that very surname and they pronounce it
Mack
ee. All Mac and the rest a tiny little 'ee'.
