Wrong Vampires of Wrongness
Friends came over last night, and we watched Interview With A Vampire.
I think I might have discovered a vampire who's more annoying than Edward Cullen.
I mean, yes, Lestat is entertaining - and Claudia is so much fun - but Louis is so very boring, and whiny, and angsts even more than Angel. Without half as much of a reason. Get over yourself, Louis! You silly person!
...plus, they sleep in coffins. Why on earth did Anne Rice want her vampires to sleep in coffins?

In the Moonlight universe, vampires are dead. Sleeping in freezers keeps their bodies from decomposing, so they won't smell bad. Also, whenever Mick is injured, he needs human blood to heal, so it may be that slowing his decomposition by sleeping in a freezer also lessens his craving and need for blood.

Like classic vampires, most do choose to sleep in some form of coffin during the day because sun exposure can cause death/pain.
Sadly, the article doesn't address this any further. Nor does it mention any vampires that don't sleep in coffins.
Deficient.

Oh. Plot bunny. What if Anne Rice MET Angel, and that's where she got the idea for Louis? But of course, she changes some things (like sleeping in coffins) because she thinks it'll make a better story, which annoys Angel to no end.

got out of my seat, pulled at the door in some kind of nightmare in which it somehow refused to open, fainted, revived, HEAVED the wretched door open, staggered out and collapsed in the lobby.random commenter
