sort of echoes my experience of watching, which was to watch faster and faster (on DVD) as the story drew to its exciting conclusion.

Mine too...

I did rather enjoy getting to use some of the sillier parts of the later seasons, too. I think people tend to forget how much fun stuff happened then.
