Indescribable
When I was thirteen, my favourite band was Take That. Mainly because they were the only one I'd heard of - and you had to have a favourite band, because when all your high school classmates asked you what kind of music you liked, "opera" wasn't an acceptable answer.
I was, overall, fairly clear about my taste in music. And remained so for several years.
Now?
My iPod includes:
- opera (still)
- Lily Allen
- the Bob the Builder soundtrack
- Billy Joel
- far too much country & western
- Jars of Clay
- Enya
- Madonna
- John Farnham
- The Dresden Dolls
- the Wicked soundtrack
- some acappella
- Queen
- Lady Gaga
- The Corrs
- Jonathan Coulton
- Evanescence
- Robbie Williams
- Avril Lavigne
What is my taste in music? I haven't got a clue. (But I don't like death metal or techno ...yet.)

(Clearly we must make arrangements to, someday, be stuck in a car together.)

(And also, do people not from the U.S. say 'the States,' or is that a familiarity that strictly we Americans use?)

...but America might end up as venture number two.
(No, strictly an Americanism. But we all understand what you mean.)

In the meantime, go here, look in the lower right-hand corner and download "The House Rules". It's free. :)

Eclectic. :D
And never say never - I didn't think I'd ever have any contemporary R&B but recently Beyonce and Alicia Keys have been creeping onto my playlists.

Heard any of their current stuff? Some nice songs there. :-)
