Lois Lane in disguise

Everyone who writes crossover fic seems to like pairing up Faith with the resident badass fighter. Personally, I think it's much more interesting pairing her up with someone stuffy and intellectual.

(In other news, [livejournal.com profile] snickfic and [livejournal.com profile] brutti_ma_buoni are clearly right about everything, and I should always always read Faith/Giles fic.)

Also, under the cut, Spike and Angel!

(Season 2 of Lois & Clark. On the left is 'Spike', and on the right is 'Angel'. This is how our intrepid reporters look when they're undercover.)

Well, clearly

and I should always always read Faith/Giles fic.

A CONVERT!!!

Now, do tell where you've been reading this lovely Faith/Giles stuff, because I think I've exhausted my sources (although it occurs to me I haven't tried a comprehensive search on Delicious yet.)

I have written some Faith-in-Supernatural-land, and paired her in a buddy movie style series with Castiel, the tightassed angel in a trench coat (though there is some steamy UST-releasing sex with Dean, but it's Castiel-UST she's working off). I adore her with someone who's so very different.

I must be doing something wrong then, because whenever I write crossovers I don't usually have anyone "pairing up" at all. I have them competing, snarking at each other and trying to outdo each other instead...

My one Faith crossover had her coming to an understanding with Spock (TOS). No "/" involved. Does that count?

Why yes, [livejournal.com profile] snickfic and [livejournal.com profile] brutti_ma_buoni are indeed right about everything. There are a few others, but those do come to mind.

If I ever do a Faith crossover, I'll probably have her hunting for vamp!T'Pol, just for fun.

I have yet to see [livejournal.com profile] snickfic or [livejournal.com profile] brutti_ma_buoni be wrong, but I suppose that doesn't prove anything.

I have nothing to contribute apart from my icon and a magisterial nod or two.

So true...

That's an interesting idea. I like it. (Hell, it's half the reason Faith/Robin works.) Let's see, my Faith-in-crossovers record:

Evil Dead: had Ash be her deadbeat father. No pairing.
Crime And Punishment: paired her up with Raskolnikov. That might fit your suggestion. (She wasn't too impressed, though.)
Twin Peaks: paired her up with Audrey. Not exactly a fighter, but not exactly stuffy either.
Scrubs: Well, JD thinks that an unspecified dark-haired Slayer is flirting with Eliot. But that's JD for you.

...I think that's it. Unless we count that one where Faith takes on Satan as a Bible fanfic; [livejournal.com profile] stormwreath wrote a sequel where she almost gets together with St Peter, he's pretty stuffy.

Huh, Faith/Wes kind of does both at once.

...Oh Clark.

Hmmmm. I don't think I've really read any Faith/Giles, but I can dig it. I agree that she should be with someone like Wesley or Giles or Buffy or Dawn instead of Sam or Dean, which is who 99.99% of crossovers seem to pair her with. I don't watch SPN, but just from what I vaguely know it doesn't work for me.
