Lois Lane in disguise
Everyone who writes crossover fic seems to like pairing up Faith with the resident badass fighter. Personally, I think it's much more interesting pairing her up with someone stuffy and intellectual.
(In other news,
snickfic and
brutti_ma_buoni are clearly right about everything, and I should always always read Faith/Giles fic.)
Also, under the cut, Spike and Angel!

(Season 2 of Lois & Clark. On the left is 'Spike', and on the right is 'Angel'. This is how our intrepid reporters look when they're undercover.)

Well, clearly
and I should always always read Faith/Giles fic.
A CONVERT!!!
Now, do tell where you've been reading this lovely Faith/Giles stuff, because I think I've exhausted my sources (although it occurs to me I haven't tried a comprehensive search on Delicious yet.)

So true...

Evil Dead: had Ash be her deadbeat father. No pairing.
Crime And Punishment: paired her up with Raskolnikov. That might fit your suggestion. (She wasn't too impressed, though.)
Twin Peaks: paired her up with Audrey. Not exactly a fighter, but not exactly stuffy either.
Scrubs: Well, JD thinks that an unspecified dark-haired Slayer is flirting with Eliot. But that's JD for you.
...I think that's it. Unless we count that one where Faith takes on Satan as a Bible fanfic;

...Oh Clark.
