Everyone who writes crossover fic seems to like pairing up Faith with the resident badass fighter. Personally, I think it's much more interesting pairing her up with someone stuffy and intellectual.

(In other news, snickfic and brutti_ma_buoni are clearly right about everything, and I should always always read Faith/Giles fic.)

Unfortunately, I haven't. I just keep starting other Faith/Badass Fighter fics, and wishing they were more like Faith/Giles...

FWIW, I've had at least one F/G fic per major recs post (they're the numbered ones) for a while now. I especially recommend sahiya's comics-era Faith/Giles series. It is made of win.

I have written some Faith-in-Supernatural-land, and paired her in a buddy movie style series with Castiel, the tightassed angel in a trench coat (though there is some steamy UST-releasing sex with Dean, but it's Castiel-UST she's working off). I adore her with someone who's so very different.

I've pretty much abandoned SPN, but I really, really approve of this. Dean and Faith are way too much alike. She'd have a way more interesting dynamic with Castiel. I'm glad someone in the world is writing this. ;)

If I ever do a Faith crossover, I'll probably have her hunting for vamp!T'Pol, just for fun.

That's an interesting idea. I like it. (Hell, it's half the reason Faith/Robin works.) Let's see, my Faith-in-crossovers record:

Evil Dead: had Ash be her deadbeat father. No pairing.
Crime And Punishment: paired her up with Raskolnikov. That might fit your suggestion. (She wasn't too impressed, though.)
Twin Peaks: paired her up with Audrey. Not exactly a fighter, but not exactly stuffy either.
Scrubs: Well, JD thinks that an unspecified dark-haired Slayer is flirting with Eliot. But that's JD for you.

...I think that's it. Unless we count that one where Faith takes on Satan as a Bible fanfic; stormwreath wrote a sequel where she almost gets together with St Peter, he's pretty stuffy.

Hmmmm. I don't think I've really read any Faith/Giles, but I can dig it. I agree that she should be with someone like Wesley or Giles or Buffy or Dawn instead of Sam or Dean, which is who 99.99% of crossovers seem to pair her with. I don't watch SPN, but just from what I vaguely know it doesn't work for me.

I keep seeing Faith/Dean fic, and usually the reason the characters are getting together seems to boil down to "You like fighting? I like fighting! Let's have sex!"
There are much better ways to get couples interested in each other.
