Buffy repeatedly referring to Spike as a "pain" didn't quite seem in character. It's more something I'd expect from Dawn, though even that would be stretching it a bit.
It's just not the sort of word I'd see her using.
Also, I'm having some trouble picking just exactly what time slot it's in, as Buffy always comes across as a party girl, so it's odd for her to say no to any kind of party.
