The cultural differnce things are fascinating - I cannot imagine a farm without at least five or six cats. No cats = no grain. Actually Darwin also proved that no cats = no bumble bees = no pollination of crops. European farming relies on cats.
Also, I find it difficult to imagine a summer where it doesn't stay light until 10 or 11 o'clock at night...
