It occurred to me that, in most post-series fanfics, everyone seems pretty convinced that Buffy will have outlawed Cruciamentum.
Which is fairly reasonable, really.
After all, given Buffy's (and Giles') reactions to Helpless, it makes sense.
But...
Can I just draw your attention - briefly - to Potential?
An episode in which Buffy says that the girls need to know that they can take on a vampire - and then locks them in a crypt with one.
...isn't that, basically, sort of a form of Cruciamentum?
