Awaiting The Inevitable Ransom Note

It occurs to me that, potentially speaking, my housemates could all have been kidnapped by Mongolian druglords on Tuesday night, and I would have no idea.

Because I'm working full-time, I generally leave the house before anyone else is up. And if I have something on in the afternoon, I can go all day without seeing one of them.

That being said, I'm fairly sure they haven't been kidnapped. Why?
a) at some point this week, someone washed the dishes
b) my cat is ignoring me, which generally means he's getting food and affection from other sources
c) in the eight months I have lived with my housemates, I have never heard any mention of drugs OR Mongolia.
