During the Writer's Strike they were responsible for organising Fans4Writers, weekly pizza runs, Strike-awareness campaigns, and fan sites for a show that didn't actually exist yet.
But now? The strike is over. A new challenge was needed.
Yesterday, an Entertainment Weekly article about "Writers Give Back" (a charity idea) went online. And, mid-way down the article, they said this:
I found the article from Whedonesque, and the moment I reached that line in the article, I burst out laughing, because I knew exactly what kind of comments Whedonesquers would be making about it.
Sure enough...
A selection from the first ten comments:
I love these people! They're so extremely awesome!

"Joss Whedon had 200 fans show up on the picket line one day to support him," Pines says. "Imagine if Joss went to Habitat for Humanity and 200 fans joined him there. They would have had a Whedon house or a Whedon block built by the end of that day."

" You know that may not be a bad idea..."
" I'd do it. Tell me the time, the place..."
" If anyone is interested in doing a habitat for humanity build..."
"Count me in."
