Surely I raved about this movie to you? Gosh, I thought I'd told everyone to watch it by now... it rocks! I love love love it. Not as clever as Neil Gaiman's book, and some bits a little too pat (for someone who's read and loved the cleverness of said book), but still, a beautiful movie I think. "and this...is where I got hit, by a magical flying MORON!" Hee. All that said, I can't stand the role they created for Ricky Gervais, adore Robert deNiro's Captain (even though he was but a paragraph in the book), loooove Dexter Fletcher's eye-rolling sidekick, and think Michelle Pfeiffer makes a brilliant witch, and poor old Septimus is wonderfully cast. And, the movie has a Take That song in the credits! *goes back to 13-year-old fangirl past* :-) I love watching it once a year or so, never fails to get a smile and a sigh. If you haven't read the book, you should!
