Awaiting The Inevitable Ransom Note
Aug. 24th, 2007 11:18 amIt occurs to me that, potentially speaking, my housemates could all have been kidnapped by Mongolian druglords on Tuesday night, and I would have no idea.
Because I'm working full-time, I generally leave the house before anyone else is up. And if I have something on in the afternoon, I can go all day without seeing one of them.
That being said, I'm fairly sure they haven't been kidnapped. Why?
a) at some point this week, someone washed the dishes
b) my cat is ignoring me, which generally means he's getting food and affection from other sources
c) in the eight months I have lived with my housemates, I have never heard any mention of drugs OR Mongolia.

Date: 2007-08-24 01:40 am (UTC)Mongolian druglords have indeed kidnapped your housemates, but are now using your house as a base of operations. Whilst this may sound terrible, it is in fact beneficial, for the following reasons:
a) They do the dishes.
b) They have also fed your cat.
c) They are a quiet group. Hence why you haven't heard anything from them. Whilst trained killers, they obviously won't keep you up late at night with their loud music.
d) (Hopefully) They'll pay the rent.
