Honestly, if you have a garage in which to put your car, why not go out and rescue it? The hail's hardly gonna kill ya, but it will damage the car!
Actually, in this case, I was rather concerned that I might get concussion from the golfball hail! There was so much of it!
And car-wise, my garage door was going to get belted round in the wind if I tried opening it, and maybe fall off or something - so I decided to risk leaving the car out there.
