I discovered, while doing this, that I write Fred’s voice by aiming for a combination of Willow and Giles – and Lorne is a combination of Buffy and Spike.
Huh. Fred = Willow + Giles I can see, but Buffy + Spike = Lorne I would not have guessed. Perhaps that's why I rarely write Lorne.

This section totally reminds me of a bit from The Princess Bride (the book, obviously, not the movie). It's the same format, with the ... and the descriptions, ending with a mysterious black-clad figure watching from a rooftop.
