Excellent points! My favorite comic book has Mexican wrestler revolutionary super heroines, among other things, but it also has a consistent (but not boring!) reality. I'm a fan of silver age DC, heyday of the "imaginary story"! Mr. Mxyzptlk, anyone? Absurdity is one of my favorite things. I'm all for crack, just make it work in your established world. It's can be prime stuff! This: not so much.
