No, don't! From my experiences with using them to get to locations for work, GPS navigational devices routinely refuse to figure out where you are for twenty to thirty minutes, which leads to a lot of panicking as you never bothered to memorise the route there on your previous journey to the location. Plus when you take a new road that hasn't yet made it into the nav device's memory, you always know that despite the calm voice stating "Return to the road", it's really screaming "WHY?!? WHY ARE YOU DRIVING AT 120KM/H ON A FIELD... OH SHIT NOW YOU'RE DOING IT ON A TRAIN TRACK!!! MY PROGRAMMER WARNED ME ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!!" on the inside.
So yes, in summary, GPS devices are handy sometimes, but when they fail they leave you up shit creek, because you haven't been taking note of all the turns and roads you took to get to where you are...
