Oh, the early years of Dawson's are dreadful. Almost as bad as the later years. I like it for a VERY brief period in seasons 3 and 4, when it suddenly gets really fun - before collapsing in a heap the moment it hits season 5.
It's one of my guilty pleasure shows - and something I'd generally deny watching even under oath...
