Congratulations [livejournal.com profile] snowpuppies, you actually convinced me to do a meme…

Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.

So, here, in no particular order, are my five current favourites:

Small Spaces
There was a small child underneath the table.
1360 words - Wesley and Dawn - season 3

I love the way that teeny!Dawn and Wesley slowly become friends. Plus, I wrote it so that Wesley’s friendship with Dawn would mirror his interactions with the rest of the Scoobies (well, sort of), and I’m really happy with how that worked out.
Also, I managed to write an entire fic about Dawn without mentioning her name once. Yay!

The Slow Slip Into Wonderful Nothing
“I'm out of ideas.” Her forehead wrinkled. “And out of whiskey.”
1300 words - Buffy/Spike - season 6

This is something I deliberately set out to write because I’d never seen season 6 Buffy/Spike done exactly the way I wanted it. I love the depressed-ness masked by extremely silly conversation, Spike taking charge, and just how horribly drunk Buffy is by the end of it.

Infestation
“Hi! My name is Clarabella Midnight Ravenswood Trixie-Clearwater Saffron Emerald Bellinger the third…”
10 drabbles - The Fang Gang – comedy

The most cathartic thing I’ve ever written.
These days, whenever I see someone writing a Mary-Sue, I retreat back to this, and watch as the Fang Gang beat the crap out of as many Sues as they can find…

Perfect For Home Or Office
“Isn’t it the most supremely… masculine coat rack you’ve ever seen?”
280 words - The Scooby Gang - season 7

A chance for me to write a spell gone wrong, and, once again, to have Buffy completely oblivious to the fact that it’s affecting her even though she knows it was affecting her five minutes ago.
I love Buffy and Willow’s conversation, Dawn’s poem, and Xander’s excessive eye-rolling.

Glowy Green Things
She couldn’t quite remember what her reasons were, but there’d been a lot of them.
2150 words - Dawn - post-series

Dawn post-series, Xander eating chocolate with abandon, playing with alternate dimensions, a creepy ending, and a chance to send Dawn absolutely straight-jacket-level crazy. What’s not to love?

Had this meme asked for my ten favourites, the following would also have been included:
Written Reflections (written in one hit, on my way to work, and still just the way I wanted it)
Deep Into The Well (just because I love destroying the world)
When I Get A Car (for Xander’s very silly thought processes)
The Very Secret Diary Of Andrew Wells (because I finally have a story with Andrew being really Andrewish)
A Quiet Night In (for snarky, snarky Spike)

And now, I think I'll tag [livejournal.com profile] curiouswombat, [livejournal.com profile] dreamincolor, [livejournal.com profile] elisi, and... hmm... anyone else that wants to, really...
