I've finally found a writing notebook - four pages before I reach the end of my current one.

This is the problem with writing stories on paper instead of straight into a computer: it's not just paper, but a certain kind of paper.

A writing notebook has to be:
-lined
-A5
-blank (no pretty pictures in the background or anything)
-bound (spiral ones end up with pages ripping out)

That doesn't sound too complicated, does it?

But despite looking everywhere, the only place I've been able to find a good notebook is Target, this afternoon.
Thank goodness I did, anyway, because I'm halfway through a fic, and I'm about to run out of paper...

Oddly enough, if you're ever stuck, Borders - they're nice, but expensive. :(

Huh. I *can't* write on paper...I never do it, so it makes my fingers hurt. Also, it just doesn't look right to me - if the world ever crashes and compters die...I guess my writing career is over. :P

Back to the intent of your orig post - you should try looking for a book with *blank* pages. At least around here, it's impossible.

Oh, I love writing on paper. Especially because I have thousands of notes and little arrows all over the place - much harder to do that on computer.

I sometimes start writing fic on paper just cause it's closer than the computer, especially late at night, but I prefer to type. I have terrible handwriting, so there's a much better chance that I'll actually be able to read it later if I type it. And if I want to change something, I don't have to go all cross-y-out-y.

Although if I do write, I prefer spiral notebooks. They're so big!

I would think it'd be not so hard to find one like what you want, though. That's weird.

(BTW, what's A5 mean? Je ne understand-eh.)

See, I love having physical cross-outs on the page. Mostly because I'll quite often change my mind again, and have to go back and decipher what it was I crossed out...

A5. (You guys are weird and have non-standard paper sizes...)

Yeah, I suppose that makes sense. I have a tendency to do cross-outs by making the previous word quite unreadable, so it just looks all messy to me. Then again, this is all pointing to reasons why I need to get better at handwriting stuff. >_<

Whoa. Names for paper sizes.

...that seems weird.

But notebook paper is all the same size here! 8 and a half inches by 11 inches.

Eeer.. -glances around- Nooo, of course not. -cough-

Hmm, when I write I paper I'll write on anything that the pen will show up on. Maybe this is why you like paper more than I do, you have it down to a fine art. :P
