In other news, it is HOT.

This morning, I was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and a thick coat, and turning my heater on full-blast.

Now, I'm wearing a singlet top and a skirt, and drinking a wonderfully cold smoothie...

In other other news, I now know how to make smoothies! Woo!

sighs...
my poor old beans turned up their heels and died without any explanation. I am very distraught...
That carrots were fantastic thanks! Ours are finally poking their tops out and growing slightly bigger - I kept getting excited and picking very little ones. Now I'm being disciplined and leaving them alone.
Must send you some of our goodies in return - what don't you have?
I have a couple of capsicums, corn almost ready to pick and my zucchinis have decided to have another crop after I thought they were finished. We have plenty of herbs too...

Aww, sorry about your beans. Must be the warm weather- it did for my snow peas pretty quickly, though my dwarf beans are *finally* growing and carrying little pods!

Yeah, careful with those little carrots...very tempting to eat them all when they're tiny, then you soon have none left! :-)
We've just planted our second lot, as we (and Hamish) are making our way through the other lot rapidly...

Ooh, if you have a spare zucchini I'd like to try to make my mum's fab zucchini cake- so good!
Our corn is going all fluffy and getting to a decent size, so I'm looking forward to eating it soon, yummm....but if ye have a spare cob, I'd love to see how smiliar/ different ours are- I'll swap ya when ours are ready!

Herbs...ooh, any parsley that we could plant? I have loads of chives...but everything else didn't even bother sprouting. Bad seeds, I think. :-(

Same here!
This morning, I got up, was so cold in shorts that I put on pants and a jumper. 16C in the house.
Go outside....and soon don't need pants or jumper!
Crazy.
Can't wait for Tuesday...37C...thank god I work underground.

Ooh, what kinda smoothies? I've been making milk-banana-apple-blueberry ones for brekky every morning. So yum!

Currently using the Women's Weekly smoothie book. I've tried the banana-and-honey ones, and have lots of ingredients ready for the mixed-berries ones.

Mmm, banana smoothies rock. :-)
Not knowing the book...do they tell you to put mutmeg in? If not, do so, it's the best!

Oh, and if you're getting frozen berries for the mixed berry ones, let them thaw first, else you get very cold yet flavourless results really... :-/

Actually, this book says cinnamon... I'll have to try nutmeg with the next batch, and check the difference.

Thanks for the frozen-berry tip!

Cinammon is good, nutmeg better :-p
Mixed spice also very nice.

Yeah, well...been there, done that. Just bland. :(
