Today is More Joy Day. In honour of this momentous occasion, I have an offer: Comment, and I will post you a Valentine’s Day card (that will hopefully reach you by Valentine’s Day… *grumble grumble international mail grumble*).
BUT…
The card will NOT be from me,
and it will NOT be to you.
This is a card that originated in the Buffyverse, from one character to another, and fell through a hole in space-time, somehow ending up here.
The Rules
1) You have three choices:
a) the sender (who the card is from)
b) the recipient (who the card is to)
c) the year (when the card was written)
You may pick ONE of those. I will decide the other two.
So, for example, your request could say “to Lilah”, or “from Principal Flutie”, or “2001”. It should not say “to Holland Manners from Clem, 2003”, because that’s insane, and also because that’s using all three options and you only get to pick one.
2) By “Buffyverse character”, I mean any character (yes, any), no matter how small their role.
3) By “Buffyverse”, I mean the tv show.
Not the movie, or the novels, or the comics, or the RPG, or the merchandising, or season 8. Just the tv show. (Although actually, come to think of it, if you really want a card from a character in the Official Buffy RPG, go right ahead. I could probably manage that one.)
4) While I would love to try doing this with other shows, I’m not sure how good I’ll be at this, so I want to stick to characters I know. Sorry. No Due South / Harry Potter crossover Valentines this time around.
5) For this to work, I’m also going to need your address… so comments are screened. Don’t worry! No-one else can see your details – only me. And I certainly wouldn’t think of harassing you, or subscribing you to weird magazines, or sending you boxes of rotten prawns, or begging you to help me to get millions of dollars out of a Nigerian bank account, or… anything like that. Nope. Not me.
Or, if a month is too long to wait for your joy, look at this instead! Oh how fun!

There is indeed an Official Buffy RPG (TM). I was a fan of roleplaying games long before I was a fan of Buffy, so I jumped on it...
