There are now two places in the city that know what food I'm going to order - and start preparing it the moment I walk through the door.

And there's another one that no longer ask me what name to call out when my lunch is ready - they know it off-by-heart.

Hmm...

A couple of people I know have that at Monash - coffee place starts making their order as soon as they're seen approaching :-p

one day, I wan't to have a place where I can order "the usual" and have them know what I mean by it :-p

I reckon ordering the usual is only good if they say, "Your usual, ma'am?" in a modulated tone.:)

Otherwise, my hubby used to enjoy walking into his classy coffee place and giving a Significant Nod as he took his table...

Clearly you simply have good tastes in food. So few good places to eat these days...

Well, that happens to me at Wendy's these days...though I surprise them every now and then. But given that it's a fast food place, it may be a very bad thing.

there's a pizza/sub shop right down the road where the guy calls me honey as soon as he hears my phone order ... Apparently I'm the only person on base who orders a plain steak sub with mayo (though I have been ordering it since I was 5, so longevity helps!!)
