I asked myself that same question. All... day... long...
Pretty much, I was at a warehouse, being part of a production line. I would pick up the big staple-filled wad of paper, take out all the staples, and hand it to someone, who would photocopy all the pages, and hand them to a third person, who would promptly re-staple the whole thing.
Which is really efficient. But also more boring than I'd ever imagined. And basically meant I spent an entire day doing nothing but pulling out staples.
next time, take an mp3 player? On a completely unrelated note...someone I don't know has added both my LJ accounts as a friend, and I don't particularly want to appear on their friends page...is there a way to block, or something?
Does an iPod count? Cause I've got one of those... ...unfortunately I couldn't use it, for many warehouse-related reasons. :(
As for flistyness... Not wanting to appear on someone's friends page: you pretty much have one option. 1) friends-lock your entries. Which... I'm pretty sure you know how to do.
2) um... nothing?
You can block specific people from commenting on your entries, but as far as what they can see... they're pretty much going to be able to see anything you don't friends-lock.
1) Yeah, but I have several friends to refuse to get accounts but still want to read my entries... *rolls eyes*
2) probably what i'll do . weird to think strangers are wanting to read my stuff, when i manage to imagine i'm just writing to myself most of the time...
Last night, I found myself writing the following Facebook status update: "(Laney) finds Tim Curry disturbingly attractive... (ahem, AHEM!)" I am sure I ought to be keeping myself a little more private than that. It's so easy to forget the world is watching. Maybe it's based in a firm belief that one is sooo boring that no-one else will bother watching.
Oh wow, that sounds like the most boring day ever. Whenever I get stuck in such situations, I tend to daydream to amuse myself. Rely on your fandom! Take it with you wherever you go. :-P
