He's certainly got a point...
Apr. 19th, 2009 09:33 amI went to the 8:00 service at church this morning. It is by far my favourite service, but one that is mainly attended by people who are well into retirement.
After this morning's service, a man sitting in front of me turned around, beamed at me, and said "Oh, you should always come to this service! It must bring down the average age of the congregation by at least half an hour!"
*grins*

Date: 2009-04-18 11:59 pm (UTC)That actually completely reminds me of the church I went to as a kid. It wasn't really a church, because it was Unitarian Universalist, which, while no longer being my style, is pretty cool, in that basically a bunch of people who spiritually believe completely different things get together to have a church. Which works especially well when two parents of different religions get married. Or for atheistics/agnostics.
Anyways, it reminds me of my old church because absolutely EVERYONE there was old. And white, and liberal. I remember I would actually get excited when a black person would come, because it was seriously a rare occasion. :P
