I just read Shell Game. Made a lot more sense after I read the commentary. I still don't understand it at all, not knowing anything about any of it, but I can tell it's well written...

Why, thank you.

(Backstory of sorts: Fred. Who is sciencey lady from Texas. Gets killed/destroyed/merged/otherwise-altered by Illyria. Who is hugely powerful ancient powerful thing. Illyria normally has blue hair/eyes, and also superstrength, but is otherwise in Fred's body. And she can make herself look entirely like Fred.
More backstory: the show ends with all of them - Illyria included - about to start fighting an epic battle of epicness that they're unlikely to survive...)
