So, I’m at home in bed, and extremely bored. This requires some pollage.

Which is better - Buffy, or Angel?

Best episode featuring Chanterelle, Anne, Lily, or whatever-her-name-is-now?

"Not Fade Away". Duh.

Heh. True.
I decided it didn't feature her enough, though...

Word to that. I'd have voted NFA.

I think both 'She' and 'Eternity' are underrated episodes - or at least, I liked them. Ditto for 'Family'. 'Orpheus' is one of my favourites, but more for the Willowy bits rather than the Faithy bits.

Likewise, I enjoyed the singing part of OMWF, but you asked about the dancing - and given the choice between watching Scot Zeller tap-dancing and Summer Glau doing ballet, there's really no contest. :-)

As a ballet dancer, Summer Glau is lucky she's an actress (she's ok, but certainly not lead material). Hinton Battle, otoh, in a Tony award winning musical commedy star.

That's right. We get to see Hinton Battle doing some tap and dancing oh, so awesomely.

I refuse to choose between Clem and Lorne.

Similarly between "The Gift" and "Not Fade Away". (I recall reading that it's the same dragon. And it was supposed to show up in the Pylea arc.)

...I just realized something. "Him" and "She" are exactly the same. They're both mediocre episodes with a heavy-handed metaphor that's salvaged by one absolutely hilarious scene.

The one hilarious scene in "Him" being the one where Anya suggests turning RJ into a girl and Willow starts planning?

I'd generally say that the hilarious scene begins when Buffy falls in love with RJ, and continues until the end of the episode.

No, no, the rocket launcher!

Although I'm the bad fan who adores that episode and didn't notice the quasi-rape of the Buffy/RJ till Gabs brought it up. Or did Stephen? Don't remember, heh.

I love that episode, too. I don't care! Sometimes I'm callous and strange.

But 'Him' has Buffy screwing a High School student on a desk, in a scene that made me want to gouge my eyes out with a fork, meaning that 'She' wins.

Most of my answers were similarly predictable. Heh. :)

Could not pick between "Him" and "She". They both suck.

And what about Pylea as an alternate universe?

Pylea's an alternate dimension, though, not an alternate universe.

I'm very sorry, but both Clem and Lorne are the most awesome demons ever, and I could never choose between them. That would be wrong.

Also, all incarnations of vampire!Harmony are made of win. Choosing between them would be all hard and stuff!

Fun poll!

I'd normally say Buffy wins most of the time, but there are some definite badasseriness elements to Ats tha cannot be ignored.

Yeah, I too had so much trouble choosing between Lorne and Clem and both Season 5 Harmonys.

I think my answers ended with BtVS being slightly ahead, but I have mad love for Spin the Bottle and Smile Time, plus Season 4 of AtS.

Ats won for me. Not that I'm surprised. I'm able to enjoy that series from A to Z with no hiccups. Cept for "The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco." I don't know what it is about that ep, but it just bores me so much...

I loved Clem, and I loved he and Spike's friendship. But Lorne--it's gotta go to him.

Harmony in s5 of Ats, because it gave me the best understanding of her character, and made me love her. Yeah, I'm probably alone there :P

I love Eternity. Yes, yes, cliche actress wanting immortality plot, but...Angelus! Cordy and Wes knocking him out! Chained to the bed! "...Guys?"

On the other hand, I have Issues with Orpheus, and Faith's other coma dream feeds my ship.

Not sure which came out on top in the poll for me, but I always liked Angel better overall. I do think it's a stronger show in a lot of ways.

Between Dawn and Conner, I choose Connor 'cause he's less annoying.

I actually liked Dawn better on that scale because I was pretty sure the writers NEW she was being annoying.

I think they wanted me to see Connor as brooding and sensitive, but it never really worked for me.

This was hard! I love "Waiting in the Wings," but "Once More With Feeling" trumps all. I love "Superstar" but "The Wish" is one of the best, creepiest episodes of a TV show ever. I love "Tabula Rasa" but "Spin the Bottle" is freaking HILARIOUS with an outstanding performance from Alexis Denisof, and bonus Angel/Connor fight scene!

The Connor/Dawn choice was pretty easy, though. *g* I like Dawn okay, but Connor has my heart. <3

Oh man, I thought [livejournal.com profile] gabrielleabelle had tough polls! This one took me forever to fill out. And like so many others, I cannot choose between Clem and Lorne. I love them both so much!

Couple of the answers are surprising. Nobody liked The Puppet Show? Nobody? I mean, it wasn't a good episode but I figured someone out there in LJ land had to like it. A lot of them are really close, just one or two votes seperating them. That is pretty awesome.

I love The Puppet Show. But Smile Time is the best AtS episode of the entire series.

I feel sorta sorry for "The Puppet Show" as cool as a demon-hunting puppet was nothing can compare to the Spike vs puppet!Angel fight. Oh and vamp!puppet!Angel. :)

Awesome poll, I had to really think about my answers. The only one that came easy was the Clem/Lorne one. I do enjoy Clem but no one beats Lornikins! :D
