Sometimes I would like to thump my cat. This is one of those times.

He has been trying to wake me up for an hour and a half. (Please note the time that I am posting this. He has been trying to wake me up since half past four.)

Why? Because he needs food, Mummy, don't you care, Mummy? I'm starving to death right in front of you, and you're just napping heartlessly while I meow myself hoarse right here! Mummy... get up, Mummy...

...and so on. For over an hour.

Sporadically - I mean, it's not like there was non-stop meowing for 90 minutes. It just felt like that because every time I started falling asleep he'd get in a couple more meows.

So, I just gave in, and got up to feed him. And there's a full bowl of food sitting right there on the floor. That he contently settled down to eating the moment I entered the room.

GRAAAAGH-SMASH!!!

*is cranky from lack of sleep*

Hahahaha, awww. My parents' cat wakes my dad up at 4am every day by swatting everything on his nightstand onto the floor one item at a time. Cell phones and loose change make an awful clatter on hardwood floors.

When I first got Chelsea, she would start poking me in the face around 5, and I was all, "Oh, no. We are not having this shit," and eventually she learned. Now she never bothers me in the morning. :)

Your cat has an evil side, obviously.

Oh no! Bad kitty! I definitely understand the need to smash stuff.

My roommate just got a puppy and I feel all kinds of evil for being annoyed by it and all the messes it keeps making in the house. Sigh.

That cat in my house does very similar things. It's like Mr Tris won't accept that there's food in his bowl unless a human has been near it recently...

...remind me why you can't close your door again?

I'm so glad that rabbits are silent animals...

Mainly because then he'd sit at the door and meow until I let him in...

Thought so.

If you ignore him, would the meowing annoy you too much? I think you should try some tough love.
