Have I mentioned lately that Sarah Connor Chronicles is my favourite show ever?

Because it is. It's awesome. And wonderful. And generally perfect.


...of course there's also the tiny matter of Buffy the Vampire Slayer being my favourite show ever. And Farscape. And also Frasier, and Avatar: the Last Airbender, NCIS, Tru Calling, Newsradio, and Firefly.

But RIGHT NOW TODAY, Sarah Connor Chronicles is my favourite show ever. And will remain so for at least the next ten minutes.

I get that feeling a lot, that "OMG this show is so awesome!!!!" feeling when you've found a new show to really get fangirly about (I've most recently had this feeling about comedies - Glee, Modern Family, and Community have had amazing freshmen runs this year; if you don't get them where you are, DOWNLOAD THEM NOW!!!)

I generally have an evolving top 5 TV shows, but my standard answer when someone asks me what's my favorite show is "Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I recognize that Lost is a better drama and Arrested Development is a better comedy." I figure this leaves me plenty of room to quibble, but expresses my loyalty to Buffy clearly, and shows it's not blind loyalty - I've thought about it, can see Lost is better at worldbuilding and plotting, and Arrested Development is better at ensemble comedy and reoccurring meta in-jokes, but Buffy is still pretty darn good in all respects.

I overthink this way too much.

Indeed it can be. I stopped watching it sometime during the 5th season. I just lost interest.

It has some good stuff in the later seasons. (Well, occasionally.)

If you go to my stargate is annoying me tag and scroll down, you'll find my reactions from when I watched it all. I generally went from frustrated, to thrilled, to wanting to punch the characters, and back through all those emotions again, over the course of every few episodes.

But it's fun! If you're bored someday, try watching the other bits. It's (mostly) worthwhile.

I have tried to watch that show and haven't been able to get into it. I really, really, really want to like it, but the first four or so episodes just didn't do it for me. I think what I need is a point to shoot for, like: "Hold on! It gets good at episode 7!" or something like that.
