I am rapidly becoming obsessed with this show. It's not my fault, really - it just keeps being all awesome at me, and I want to watch it even more...

This season contained such episodes as

Enemies
Replicators again! Who fix the ship, making it capable of travelling at several million times its original top speed, and then crash into a planet, taking Apophis with them...

Threshold
Teal'c has been brainwashed to think he's a double agent. So clearly, they must almost kill him to reset his brain.

Ascension
Yet another alien falls madly in love with Sam Carter. This one is invisible, and does a pretty good job of convincing everyone she's crazy, before he becomes human, almost dies, and then ascends again.

The Fifth Man
SG-1 have another team member. Everyone else thinks they're crazy. It's all kinda fun, really, and it took me ages to figure out whether he existed or not...

Red Sky
A wormhole going through a sun makes the sun turn red, and nearly wipes out an entire planet by being such a crappy colour.
There are quite a few instances, this season, of things going wrong because they're using a computer rather than a DHD - this is the first one.

Also, I'm starting to wonder if the Asgards protecting people by pretending to be gods is really such a good idea. All their planets seem so confident that their god will protect them, that they just sort of stand around looking happy, and assume it'll all work out in the end. Whereas the humans on Goa'uld planets know damn well that their gods will slaughter them horribly without a second thought - that really promotes a healthy sense of self-preservation.

Rite Of Passage
Cassandra is back! This time to almost die by being too telekinetic.

Beast Of Burden
SG-1 frees the slaves from the misguided farmers. Not terribly interesting, to be honest.

The Tomb
Once again, the show proves that it is written by Americans who think all Russians suck. And that's all I'm going to say, or I'll be ranting again.
GRRR...

Between Two Fires
Apparently, advanced as the Tollans are, they haven't ever considered the possibility of having politicians who lie.
Luckily, Earth-dwellers are much more cynical, and save the day by pretty much assuming everyone sucks.

2001
This is the third episode named after a year. But, as it turns out, this episode isn't about time-travel. Instead, it's about the consequences of the last time-travel episode.
This time, when they meet the super-friendly aliens who sterilise people, they have a lot of other people right there who've been pre-sterilised, as proof!

Desperate Measures
Sam gets abducted!
But that's not the good part. The good part is that Maybourne comes out of hiding again. Yay Maybourne! I'm really starting to love that guy.

Wormhole X-treme!
A tv show, exactly like Stargate, is... um... there being all Stargatey. And that's pretty much the plot.

Extremely fun opportunity for the show to make fun of itself - including the ridiculousness of zat guns, and the fact that everyone in the universe speaks English.
And I weep copious tears, because it's so much harder to laugh at the show when it's laughing at itself. Then I go back to watching, and squeeing hugely...

Proving Ground
Cool physics prodigy chick is back! Along with a couple of new recruits, and a Cylon.
Apparently the SGC are unaware that she's a Cylon, because they let her move about the base freely. They also pretend to be evil aliens themselves, as part of a strenous testing process that involves Jack and Daniel getting shot many times.

48 Hours
RODNEY! RODNEY IS HERE!
Oh, this was fun. Mostly because of Rodney.

Plus... Maybourne. He's great too.

Summit
Daniel, as a Goa'uld slave, trying to poison all the Goa'uld (including his ex-girlfriend), while the Tok'ra end up getting almost entirely wiped out, and new recruit guy dies tragically...

Last Stand
Erm. Ignore the previous summary. Most of the wiping-out, not to mention the tragic dying, happened in this episode. Which was the second part of the other one.
Why does this show keep doing double episodes with cliffhangers? They're confusing me.

Fail Safe
Let's see. The plot was a blatant Armageddon rip-off with extra Goa'uld thrown in, I spotted a Star Wars reference, the last wire cut was obviously going to be the right one, Hammond was being all noble and staying behind for NO REASON WHATSOEVER, the end was just silly... and the whole thing was extremely fun and entertaining. I loved it.

The Warrior
A Jaffa army are standing round in a forest waiting for more Jaffa patrols to pass near enough to be recruited, we're supposed to disapprove of their ideals for some reason I couldn't quite fathom, and the leader is actually a Goa'uld in disguise...

Menace
Robo-chick!
Sam was getting all excited about her - which seemed perfectly reasonable until I remembered just how often they encounter lifelike androids. Then it seemed a bit more baffling.

But it turns out that Robo-chick was responsible for the Replicators. Which is an extremely cool bit of backstory.

The Sentinel
Yet another planet where the people are happy, innocent, peaceful, and really really dumb.
And it was all touching at the end, but I was quite busy screaming at the NID guy for being such a bastard.

Meridian
Stargate goes back in time and witnesses the birth of the atomic bomb. Well - not really. But they had the buildings, the uniforms, the bomb, and plus they blatantly said that it was just like America in the 1940s, so it was pretty obvious what they were going for.

Then Daniel was terribly heroic, and turned into a floaty ball of light.
Unfortunately, I knew this one was coming sooner or later. Otherwise, given how often members of SG-1 are given less than a day to live and then do live, I probably would have been pretty surprised.

I will miss Daniel. At least he's not going to be gone forever...

Revelations
And the season DOESN'T end with a cliffhanger! I was shocked! In fact, it was almost like getting a cliffhanger, because I was so sure there'd be one again, and then there wasn't, so it was really surprising.

Anyway, Thor was declared dead (and wasn't), the guys were captured and it was all hopeless for a few minutes there, Anubis seems to be basically the Goa'uld equivalent of Darth Vader, the Asgard haven't had sex for a thousand years, and Osiris is SO much fun. I love her.

On to season 6!

Wow, that's a lot of watching!

I could've sworn you weren't that far along last time you posted about Stargate, but now I'm not so sure.

The version of SC2 now available from the fans is called UrQuan Masters... its fairly good and xp compatible... - also improved greatly recently.
The only issue is the game is an adventure game when you probably will get 80 hours in and then die mysteriously (or at least thats what happened to me the first time :)

*nods* It was a version of UQM I had...the version I had had a malfunction in the final battle. Also the ships didn't work right--the special functions didn't work, which was crippling for some of them.

Meridian is such a hard show to watch a second time (or third or fourth) and when I first started Stargate, I was determined not to give into spoilers, so I cried during that entire episode... but then again the subsequent times I've watched the show I still cry...
I do enjoy Season 5 muchly... yuppers...
