The world is slowly getting into Christmas mode...

The Salvos have mini brass bands at every train station.

My decorations are up: big Christmas tree, and bits of tinsel that I keep accidentally pulling down from the ceiling.

There are mince pies being sold in every supermarket, and "Carols by Candlelight" posters on every street corner. (Do people overseas have Carols by Candlelight? Or is it just us?)

Work is getting more silly and excitable by the day.

Every dvd in JB HiFi has just dropped in price by $30. So tempting...

My church had a kids carols service on Saturday (with silly songs and mini dramas, but no puppets, weirdly).

And it's getting hotter. On Friday, I left for work at 6:45am, wearing jeans and a tshirt. First time I've been completely coatless in months.

I love December.

US dollars are worth slightly more than Aussie dollars - not sure exactly.

Actually, the movie dvds probably haven't dropped that much. Just all the tv show ones. There are now HUGE numbers of tv seasons being sold for about $30 total. Plus the entirety of Buffy (all seasons) being sold for $180.

Farscape is under $30. :-)
And Stargates down to about $50, even the latest ones...I hinted, but seemed to get no response from hubby I was shopping with... *sigh*
