The song I've got stuck in my head right now?
"There's a spot over here, and a spot over there, there's a spot on your ear, and a spot on your hair..."
For those of you who haven't seen enough Playschool or have otherwise had deprived childhoods, this is a song usually sung by three year olds.
I spent my shower enthusiastically singing "It's a SPOTTY KIND OF DAY..."
It won't go away.

Date: 2010-06-13 02:48 am (UTC)This has made me inexplicably sad. I feel I have to take my Australian childhood on faith without the evidence there...

Date: 2010-06-13 02:53 am (UTC)There's a stripe over here, and a stripe over there
There's a stripe on your ear and a stripe in your hair,
There's a lot of little stripes in the air, everywhere,
Its a stripey kind of day.
Repeat with dots, circles, loops, squiggles, etc.
On the plus side, it's kinda pleasant with the simple piano piece that plays with the song...

Date: 2010-06-13 06:31 am (UTC)We didn't sing a great deal in school, though I know "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider". Most of the children's songs I remember are church music, like "I'm In the Lord's Army".

That's one of the longest-running arguments on my LJ ever.

PS. Playschool was the best. Back in my childhood I didn't need an iPhone or a Bratz doll with a coordinated seasonal wardrobe. If I had a pipe-cleaner, I was the king.
Haha. I have to enter a CAPTCHA to post this, and the words are "morning combat". Sounds like a great way to start the day.
