I really shouldn't be allowed near kitchens.

I just discovered that I left my oven on... LAST NIGHT.
Yes, that's almost 24 hours.

I once put some eggs on to hardboil, and went to my room to keep studying for a few minutes...

Woke up about two hours later with my head on my textbooks, wondering what the funny smell was...toast? coffee?....the eggs. Ohhhhh sh**.

I fairly flew to the kitchen(Brunwsick terrace house, so tiny long galley-type kitchen tacked on in a former alleyway), and found eggs splattered all over the walls and internal window, and one brave little black egg bouncing around in the very dry and black saucepan.

Afraid it would explode, I sat the saucepan on the sink and put a lid on it.

Then I spent a fun hour cleaning streaks of partly-boiled egg and shells off the walls and window, and finding chunks of hardboiled egg all over the floor, behind cupboards, etc.
I think when we moved out, there was still some stuck right up by the ceiling that I couldn't reach...

More recently (not kitchen-related), we managed to leave the car with both front doors wiiiiide open (and thus the interior light on) all night long. No drained battery or resident spiders in the morning, so all was well.

Wow. That's... impressive.

Part of me now kinda wants to overboil some eggs, just so I can see what happens.

Heh- Probably best not to stand too close- going by what was left of the eggs, you may lose an eye...
